This is my second Air Case and I couldn't be happier. Tenba does a great job in both build quality (I'm well over 230lbs and can sit on this thing without is so much as bending) and custom fitting. If you travel with your iMac as often as I do this case is a must have and a no-brainer. My first Air Case is over 3 years old now, and despite bouncing its way around the country several times, it looks exactly the same as the day I bought it. The big downside is, obviously, most people aren't going to want to spend approx.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jack M. From Price hurt, but worth it I've been working off site using my own studio and computer equipment which gets cumbersome to cart back and forth. I was carrying my display for my laptop in a large container store tub surrounded by blankets. It would tip over in the car and was a moronic way to transport my display. Purchased this to make life easier and it certainly was. Price really stings but I'm glad I did it.

My second choice was the pelican, but honestly that thing weighs about 40 lbs on its own and it was probably overkill in my scenario - mostly local travel between Las Vegas, L.A., Phoenix, etc. I contacted lightware and found out that they have a 27 imac case in product development but it wasn't available as of my purchase date. I probably would have bought that instead, but I'm not positive. My confidence in the tenba was a little shattered when it showed up via UPS with one side of the case completely crushed. I had no intention of shipping this thing on an airplane but that really made me think twice about it.

The only limitation is the number of internal pockets. Mine came with one full pocket and an open bottom one - there were components like my super drive that I had to carry in another bag.

I wrapped my keyboard in bubble wrap. Overall a good case. Rated 4 out of 5 by Brobot from Sturdy to a point After a boatload of research and thought I decided to plunk down the $ and get the tenba. Out of all the cases I looked at it was the easiest to use. Lightweight, sturdy, rolls upright, keeps the imac safe, goes right in and comes right out no problem, etc.

The case has a solid frame inside, so even the baggage handlers at an airport won't damage it. This case is the lightest and most compact of any I could find. If you value light and compact, this is your case. This case has wheels only on one end. I would have preferred 4 wheels and a tether so I could drag it behind me thru the airport. The Velcro fastener for the keyboard seemed to me a little flimsy. Yes, you can reposition it, but it could come lose if the case is hit hard enough and if that were to happen, the keyboard would scratch your computer.

I sent it back to BH and they sent me a new one immediately. There are a few bloggers out there who have claimed to use this thing to ship via air but I would get the pelican if air travel were an issue. Tenba saw my instagram post of the crushed case and asked if a dump-truck ran it over. Overall it's awesome, looks slick as hell and keeps that big machine nice and safe.

1/4 the cost of the computer for a case to put it in. All I can say in response is that the 27 design isn't going anywhere for a while, the foam on the inside can be easily repositioned for new gear, and that as well as this thing is built it'll easily outlast the lifespan of the iMac you're putting in it, and probably several more after. It takes longer to unplug everything than it does to pack and zip it up.The inside pouch holds a keyboard securely (even the thicker old style with real keys, not the chicklet style). I wouldn't add other items that could fall out of the pouch and get bounced around by the airline, but I have put power strips, etc when I am putting in the back of my car and driving to location.
