I've tried to run Nancy Drew games on Linux using Wine, but I found that my mileage varied a lot. In many of the games, the sound wouldn't work or the graphics wouldn't look right. In the end I never really felt like it was worth it. However, if you already have the games, there's really nothing to lose by giving Wine a shot - Wine is open-source and free. Bootcamp would work great, as you'd essentially just be installing Windows on your Mac. However, that would mean you'd have to buy a copy of Windows, which isn't exactly cheap.

I managed to run both Secret at Shadow Ranch and The Curse of Blackmoor Manor on my Mac! I haven't actually played through the entire games yet so I can't speak to how well the games function in entirety, but they seem to work well for me! However, I also tried to install and run Legend of Crystal Skull and White Wolf of Icicle Creek, but did not get those to run. I think it may be due to the difference in system requirements for the older games vs the slightly newer older games. If you really want to play the older games that aren't available on Mac though, I'd suggest trying to find an old Windows computer on eBay or craigslist as that would ensure optimal game play!
